Student Accommodation

Glasgow is a welcoming place for new people, and there are lots of options for finding accommodation. If you are unsure if you would like to stay in student halls or in rented accommodation, then we have found some links that might be helpful for you.

If you are new to the city, student halls can be an easier way to find somewhere to stay without having to look for flatmates, and utility bills are usually included as part of cost. Glasgow has several universities and colleges, so there are plenty of sites for student accommodation in Glasgow with a range of prices and facilities. Here are some links for more information.

Rented Accommodation

If you would prefer to stay in your own flat, rented accommodation can be cheaper than living in student halls. Rent and utility bills will usually be separate, but the costs can be shared between 1-4 people depending on the size of the flat.

Looking for flatmates? Websites such as Spare Room, Gumtree, and Room Go can help to connect you with other students.

Areas such as Partick, Dennistoun, and Kelvinside are popular for students, or it can be less expensive to stay in Paisley or areas further from the city centre.

There are many great areas of Glasgow to live in, and the city has good public transport links by bus, train and subway.
