We’ve been a big part of the Scottish Music Industry for nearly 40 years, originally as a world-renowned commercial recording studio. These days, our focus is on preparing the next generation of Industry professionals, although we still operate as a commercial production facility. Hosted our first ever RMC+ Industry networking day.
The launch of Riverside Music TV. Our Youtube channel dedicated to showcasing outstanding musical acts from Scotland and beyond.
The formal introduction of RMC+, our extra curricular development programme, to our framework
Announced our partnership agreement with UHI Perth, meaning students could now study to degree level at the RMC Campus.
Completed a further upgrade and expansion to our campus, including a brand new IT/Mixing lab adjacent to studio 1
Completes Corporate Rebranding
Redesign of Creative Arts Hub and studio 1 to enhance learning facilities further.
Approved as an examination centre for ABRSM and Trinity Music College, London.
Our brand new multi-purpose education centre opens to students and clients.
Major building work commences on the floors below studio 1 incorporating our purpose built lecture theatre, IT suite / mixing lab and student support areas.
Gains SAAS funding designation for full and part time FE courses.
Becomes Independent SQA (Qualifications Scotland) accredited centre, launching our own HND courses.
Our flagship studio 1 opens.
Set up initial NC and HND courses in partnership with Stow College, Glasgow..
Moved to our current site at Field Road, Busby.
